EMULSION PHOTO

Your photographs,
on film.

The same physically simulated film as the Resolve plugin, for still photographs. Open a RAW file, choose a stock and a format, and it is exposed, developed and printed, crystal by crystal. No presets, no LUTs.

ONE FRAME · MANY FILMS · DRAG TO COMPARE

The original, then on film

Every image here is rendered by Emulsion Photo's own engine: metered for the shadows, exposed onto the stock, developed and printed.

GRAIN AT THE SIZE OF THE FILM

35 mm to 4×5

Choose the camera's format and the film is that size: a 6×7 negative is enlarged far less than 35 mm for the same print, so its grain is finer. The same face, the same stock, enlarged 2×.

WHAT HAPPENS TO YOUR PHOTO

From RAW to print

  1. RAW in, as lightRAW files from almost every camera are read as the light that reached the sensor, with nothing baked in. TIFF, JPEG and HEIC work too.
  2. Metered like filmExposed for the shadows, the way negative film is shot, with your shutter speed driving long-exposure behaviour.
  3. Your film, your format50 colour, slide, black-and-white and cinema stocks from the manufacturers' data, on 35 mm, medium format or sheet film.
  4. DevelopedPush, pull, bleach bypass, halation, the lens you choose, and every control the Resolve plugin has.
  5. PrintedCinema prints from contrasty to soft, a wide-latitude print for your own edit, slides as projected, or the negative itself.
  6. Out16-bit TIFF or JPEG in sRGB, Display P3, Adobe RGB or ProPhoto, full resolution. Batch a whole shoot at once.
